Abstract

Language is a living entity, constantly evolving in response to societal changes. This study explores the social dynamics that drive the transformation of slang into standardized language. By analyzing historical and contemporary examples, the research investigates the mechanisms through which informal expressions gain widespread acceptance and eventually become part of the formal lexicon. The study examines the role of cultural shifts, media influence, and generational changes in this process. Additionally, it considers the impact of technology and globalization on the acceleration of language evolution. Through a multidisciplinary approach, this research provides insights into how social forces shape the language we use daily, ultimately influencing how societies communicate and understand each other. The findings underscore the importance of recognizing the fluidity of language and the factors that contribute to its continual change.
